Dolgarrog Community Council
The council are actively looking for potential Community Councillors and a Youth Representative for the New Year. The Community Council look after the Community Centre, the Memorial Grounds, the Cenotaph and local parish issues. Where the Community Council can't resolve an issue, they can signpost residents to appropriate support and assistance. All councillors are voluntary and the council are a very forward thinking and vibrant community council: organising events such as Dolgarrog 100 (The Commemoration event of the Dam Disaster) in 1925, and in conjunction with partners at the Church, COG and local businesses providing events, activities and opportunities for the community.
The time commitment is one meeting per month which rarely exceeds an hour and then most councillors offer time or skills during the month that reflect their personal interests and abilities. The most important thing is that it is fun and an opportunity to put something into Dolgarrog.
For an informal chat please contact any of the councillors, the Chair or Clerk or alternatively come along and observe our monthly meetings. You don't need to give any notice as all of our meetings are public.
Thank you.
